We welcome you to join us for an unforgettable dance experience at Next Step Dance Kodiak’s five-day Summer Ballet Intensive! Calling all dancers aged 8 and up from Kodiak and across Alaska—this is your chance to elevate your training and immerse yourself in the art of dance. Classes will include classical ballet technique, partnering, character dance, contemporary, improvisation, conditioning, Pilates, injury prevention, nutrition for dancers, pointe, audition preparation, and more.

Guest Teacher: Arianna Henry
Arianna Henry was born in Warwick, New York and received her primary dance training at Dancer’s Studio under the direction of her mother, Lucinda Henry. She is a Deans List graduate of University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in Ballet Performance, and the recipient of the Alesei Yudenich Award in Ballet. Throughout her professional career, she has performed with Pennsylvania Ballet, Arsenale della Danza in Venice, Italy + São Paulo, Brazil, Ticino en Danza in Chiasso Switzerland, The Sarasota Opera, Walt Disney World, The Warwick Dance Collective, and has been actively touring with musician St. Vincent since 2017.
Arianna has been an educator in both dance and pilates for Warwick Center for the Performing Arts, Hamptons Ballet Theatre School, Manhattan Youth Ballet, and New York State Summer School of the Arts. She has been the choreographer for many musical productions in Warwick including Mary Poppins and Seussical for Warwick Center for the Performing Arts, along with Les Miserables, Legally Blonde, Curtains, Shrek, Shrek Jr., and Matilda Jr. for Warwick Valley Central School District.
Aside from dancing and choreographing, Arianna runs her own pilates business , “AriannaPilates”, teaching private clients in New York City, and group classes at RE:FORM LAB in Warwick.
Guest Teacher: Nicholas Peregrino
Nicholas Peregrino began his training at the Pacific School of Dance in CoosBay, Oregon and later at the Oregon Ballet Academy under the direction of John Grensback. After attending SUNY Purchase as a Dance Major for a year, he received a full scholarship to train at The Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia, PA in 2009. He has since performed with Lustig Dance Theatre, The Sarasota Opera, Suzanne Farrell Ballet Company at the Kennedy Center, Balletfleming, Roxey Ballet, Charleston Ballet, FJK dance, Continuum Contemporary Ballet as well as many others. Nicholas is currently guest performing and teaching ballet and ballet partnering for various programs around the country.
