Well Educated in Dancing and Teaching

A variety of dance forms are offered to all ages, and all classes emphasize the importance of correct anatomically-based technique, having fun while building self-esteem and a positive sense of self, experiencing the discipline and freedom of movement, appreciating all types of music, and working as an individual within a group.
Our goal is to cultivate young dancers into well-rounded individuals who not only have an appreciation for dance but who reach for high achievement in academics and community service. The dance studio is a place of caring support and community involvement, where people of all ages and backgrounds can be active and successful. In addition to dance technique and appreciation of the arts for students of all ages, we strive to instill life skills like treating yourself and others with respect, how to be part of a team, and the importance of self-discipline. NextStep is a place of positive motivation, challenging students of all ages to work hard at a demanding discipline! Our instruction is diverse, age-appropriate, technically correct, and fun. We want students to be able to experience the joy of movement and creativity when they are younger and accountable for their own choices as they get older. All these goals for students are incorporated into our philosophy of teaching dance and are equally as important as dance technique.
