Kathleen Schoeneck

Kathleen started taking dance lessons in ballet and jazz at the age of seven at various dance studios in and around the Seattle area. She quickly won scholarships to travel to Vancouver B.C and study under Thommie Walsh, Gus Giordiano, Donna Fletcher and Jamie Salmon. She started competing in dance competitions and won many first place awards in solo and group categories for jazz and lyrical. In addition to her jazz dance, she began pointe at age nine and perform many variations at competitions and in performances through her late teens where she began instruction under Anett Eichler in Reno, Nevada. Between 2003 and 2007 she performed in many professional shows in the Reno/Tahoe area with Karen Burns productions, as well as The Magic Underground and The Chipper Lowell Experience. During her run performing in shows, she also taught and choreographed for different studios in the area.
Kathleen has lived in Kodiak with her family since 2016 and has developed many different hobbies. Outside of the studio, she loves animals! She has her certificate for a Veterinary Technician and she has two French Bulldogs named Stewie and Brian. She is married to Adam and has a daughter Wilhelmina and a son Gibson who also take dance at Next Step Dance.
