Ms. Jenny pretty much dances through life! She began dance lessons as a teen in Washington, taking classes at Arlene’s School of Dance and Gymnastics, in all forms of dance ranging from baton to jazz and tap. Throughout the years she has continued her dance and teacher training through workshops ranging from Vaganova curriculum with John White to courses with Anne Green Gilbert, Dance Educators of America conventions, workshops with Gus Giordano, and Pacific Northwest ballet and Broadway Dance Center in Seattle. She also has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Utah State University! She’s choreographed, danced and sung in many Kodiak Arts Council musicals, directed the 2016 Nutcracker, and brings her sunny personality to every dance class.
She and her husband of 32 years, Bob, have five children, the youngest of which graduated from Kodiak High School in 2017, and they have lived throughout Alaska, Utah, and Washington. Jenny loves to snowmachine and be with her family, and her students and parents love her! So do we!
