Brooke Spence

Brooke began to study ballet at the age of 2 and has been in love ever since. She expanded her experience when she began to study pointe at the age of nine, and would go on to also be a student of tap, jazz, lyrical and hip-hop. Growing up in South Carolina, she had the privilege of being able to train under several instructors from various technical backgrounds, including Cecchetti, RAD and Balanchine. Brooke’s primary technical training is in the Vaganova technique and she enjoys pushing herself to perfect her talents. She has played the violin since she was nine years old and incorporates musicality into her teaching to help produce a more well-rounded dancer. She has traveled to Europe and all across the United States to perform and share her love for the performing arts. Brooke has enjoyed teaching for over a decade and looks forward to many more years.

Brooke has a bachelors degree from the University of South Carolina in Political Science (with an emphasis in International Relations) and an additional bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. Brooke has the privilege of living in Kodiak with her husband Sean and two children, Camden and Ava.
