Ariane Clark

Ms. Ariane began dancing in high school, where she took tap, jazz, and ballet. As a teen, she returned to her home state of Maine to attend Bossov Ballet intensives in the summers, and was part of Kodiak High School’s Dance Team. She began teaching for Woodland Dance Studio in Kodiak after college, teaching jazz and lyrical. She also taught at Attitude Dance in Connecticut, and taught for Little School of Dance since moving back to Kodiak in 2015. Her teacher training includes workshops with Pulse in New York City in 2007 and 2008, where she studied with Mia Michaels, Brian Friedman, Chris Judd, Sheila Barker, Mandy Moore, and many others, as well as workshops with Alvin Ailey II, Paul Taylor, and WOFA. She’s brought students to NUVO and 5,6,7,8 competitions, where they consistently place high.
She has a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maine, Farmington, and when not teaching dance or hanging out with her family, she is a pre-K teacher at the CDC on US Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak. She is expecting a new baby boy in the summer of 2017, and we can’t wait to welcome him to the NSDK family!
